With all the ad-skipping PVRs out there, Sony has decided to start making interactive commercials for viewers who own PVRs. The commercial is actually for Sony’s Bravia televisions and offers viewers two pick one of two different endings – one for male and one for female. The question here is: Will interactive commercials actually get people to watch Sony’s commercials? Maybe once or maybe twice, but the novelty will probably wear off quickly. It isn’t like this is the first time we’ve seen commercial interactivity either. We’ve seen those “Go to www.plug-site.com to watch ending” commercials before. So, how many of you have actually gone out of your way to watch the ending? None? Really? Sony should probably sit down and re-think this one before viewers start getting really, really annoyed.
