Nokia Ponders What's in a Name

Following the success of phones such as the RAZR, which has now essentially become ubiquitous, Nokia has decided that it too will begin naming some of its newer phones. Keithy Pardy, head of marketing for the cell giant, also admitted to being slow on the uptake of thin phones, but said it’s working on thin models and “looking at what’s next.” Not sure where we can go beyond thin. Cell chips grafted right into your brain? Errr, no thanks. I’ve seen “Johnny Mnemonic.”

No word on when we might be seeing these new beasts, but I expect them to start surfacing soon. Perhaps the 7390, 7373 and the 7360, unveiled earlier this week, will get some crafty names. We’ll see.
