Shapemeasure's lasers and automation let carpenters measure once and cut never

It would be nice in construction jobs if everything was perfectly squared off in standard sizes, but it rarely is. Shapemeasure uses a custom-built lidar unit to very precisely measure the dimensions of a project, like stairs or cabinets, including nearly invisible flaws. This information is sent to a robotic lumber processor that creates all the wood you need, perfectly pre-cut to the exact size and angles needed. They claim it can speed up some projects by 3-4x.
