Orii is a smart ring that helps those with hearing disabilities make calls and listen to phone audio with greater clarity. The ring uses bone conduction technology to enable you to hear audio from your phone simply by putting a finger to your ear. The device launched on Kickstarter this week. It’s priced from $99 and has already beaten its $30,000 target. Parent company Origami Labs has raised money from Alibaba and it plans to develop a platform for voice-based commands with the ring as its center piece.
