Android Jelly Bean

Developed by Google, Android Jelly Bean is the code name for three major releases of the Android mobile operating system – 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. Unveiled in June 2012, 4.1 focused on performance improvements, improvements to the notification system and other internal changes. Unveiled in October 2012, 4.2 includes further optimizations, multi-user support for tablets, lock-screen widgets, quick settings and screen savers. Android 4.3 was released in July 2013 via firmware updates to the Galaxy Nexus, 2012 Nexus 7, Nexus 4 and Nexus 10. Android 4.3.1 was released in October 2013 for the new Nexus 7 to address device-specific issues.
