Steve Ballmer

Steve Ballmer is an American businessman. In 1980, he joined Microsoft as a business manager, becoming the company’s 30th employee. Ballmer headed various divisions during his tenure at Microsoft, including operations, operating systems development and sales and support. In February 1992, he became executive vice president of sales and support; in July 1998, he became president. He replaced Bill Gates as CEO in 2000. Satya Nadella replaced Ballmer as CEO in 2014, when Ballmer resigned because of his outside commitments, including his ownership of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers.
