Founded in 2006 by Konrad Feldman and Paul Sutter, Quantcast is an international technology company that specializes in audience measurement and real-time advertising.

Quantcast was the first ratings company to rely primarily on direct measurement, as opposed to panel-based methods pioneered by Nielsen. Quantcast provides detailed consumer insights and public access to traffic and demographic data to millions of websites for digital publishers enrolled in the Quantified Publisher Program.

In January 2013, Quantcast acquired MakeGood Software, a Seattle-based advertising startup that simplifies data management and reporting for online advertising campaigns. In March 2013, the company added Measure for Mobile Apps, a tool that collects data on the usage of a publisher’s iOS and Android apps to provide a cross-platform view in its analytics service. In July 2013, Quantcast became the 18th member of Facebook’s ad exchange, FBX.
