Montana puts the spotlight on innovation at Disrupt SF

“Attending TechCrunch Disrupt was the ideal opportunity to showcase Montana’s high-growth startups and our emerging tech scene to an international audience.” – Christina Quick Henderson, Executive Director, Montana High Tech Business Alliance

As a non-profit organization focused on supporting the growth of the tech industry, the Montana High Tech Business Alliance was looking for an opportunity to provide startup founders based in Montana more exposure to potential customers and investors. TechCrunch Disrupt SF stood out as the startup conference that would allow their founders to expand their network with the leaders of Silicon Valley while also showing off the innovation happening in their state. By working with other government organizations such as the Montana Governor’s Office of Economic Development, they brought a group of the most promising early stage startups from their state to create the Montana Pavilion in Startup Alley at Disrupt.

Each with a different goal in mind, the startups found Disrupt a great place to explore their initiatives. Ranging from finding new customers to meeting investors, each company that Montana brought made new connections and walked away with real world learnings that will help them continue to build their companies. Communications Director Katy Spence told us,

“Disrupt SF was an impactful experience for both the Montana startups who attended and the Montana High Tech Business Alliance as a sponsoring partner. The breadth and depth of support for tech startups is incredible, and we were grateful to have the chance to connect our startups with the financial, networking, and growth opportunities in San Francisco. We’re looking forward to returning again next year to help provide resources and connections to high-potential Montana startups.” – Katy Spence, Communications Director, Montana High Tech Business Alliance

The Montana High Tech Business Alliance felt that there’s a wealth of opportunity at Disrupt, and they’re excited to come back bigger and even more prepared in 2019 to take advantage of everything that the conference has to offer.
