One of TechCrunch’s most important priorities is supporting founders, especially early stage founders. That’s why TechCrunch created a new event series called TC Early Stage, which debuted on July 21-22, 2020.
Not only was this the first event in the series, but it was also TechCrunch’s first fully virtual event. Over 600 people attended 41 highly interactive, small group breakout sessions with 54 top investors and ecosystem experts, in fields ranging from fundraising, law, growth, recruiting, and others — all with live Q&A. How often do you get the chance to ask Reid Hoffman or Caryn Marooney a question (and get an answer)?!
Funding and marketing topics drove the most attendee participation, “Sequoia’s Curriculum of Company Culture” with James Buckhouse and Jess Lee of Sequoia Capital being the most popular.
Four sponsors with ties to the startup community hosted their own dedicated breakouts: Dell Technologies, Perkins Coie, Sequoia Capital, and Silicon Valley Bank.
