TechCrunch will be hosting an AMA event on Sept 4 (recording here) and Sept 11 through Zoom to walk you through the virtual venue and answer any questions you may have in regards to setting up a booth.
Please complete the typeform found here to start the process of creating your virtual booth. Please note that the items you provide here will be used for the initial build of your booth, but you will have the opportunity via a link from Hopin to access your booth’s backend and make modifications prior to and during the event. This link to be provided at a later date – check back for additional information.
Extra Access for Virtual Booth
SUA and Pavilion companies will get the booth invite, but any remaining people (up to 2 additional) that need booth management access can be added by using this typeform. Only catch is the person requesting must be the same person (we ask for name and email) that initially got the booth invite.

The editorial team will be selecting two startups from Digital Startup Alley to participate in the Startup Battlefield competition. You do not have to do anything further to be considered but we will be looking at your Digital Startup Alley preview booth located on CrunchMatch to get further information. We suggest that you update your company profiles with a pitch deck, video and any other materials that you think make your startup stand out from the crowd. Here are detailed instructions on how to add content to your Digital Startup Alley page in CrunchMatch.
We will start the selection process at the end of the day on September 4 so we recommend your profile be up to date prior to that date. You will be notified by September 9 if you were selected for these opportunities and we’ll let everyone know who the final selections are on September 10!
Huge congratulations to DaVinci Kitchen and Vibe for winning the last two spots in the Startup Battlefield competition at Disrupt 2020. They will be pitching on the Disrupt stage next week alongside the other 18 companies that were selected in the process. You can find a complete list of Startup Battlefield companies here.
We have opened up CrunchMatch in advance of Disrupt to give you more opportunities to network and promote your company to Disrupt attendees in the Digital Startup Alley Preview section. After registering, you will receive an email inviting you to log into CrunchMatch. From there you can:
- Search for attendees and request 1:1 meetings
- Update your Digital Startup Alley Preview page with additional videos, descriptions and slide decks (important for Wild Card consideration)
- Participate in exclusive founder content series and speed networking
Here’s a short video to guide you in getting set up for success on CrunchMatch.
Exhibition Best Practices
Ask Me Anything / Office Hours
TechCrunch will be hosting an AMA event on Sept 4 and Sept 11 through Zoom to walk you through the virtual venue and answer any questions you may have in regards to setting up a booth.
How Do I Get Leads from my Digital Booth?
Lead retrieval is available through your digital booth on Hopin. Your digital booth comes with a Call to Action button that you can use for one of two things:
- Link to a webpage (same URL as the URL you provide within your booth set-up form)
- Allow attendees to send their name/email to the booth moderator in which they are registering their interest to be contacted by you in the future (note you will receive one email per attendee who clicks this button).
Investors attending Disrupt
With your Digital Startup Alley Exhibitor Package, you receive a listing all of the investors attending Disrupt organized by the verticals they invest in. This document is not to be share with others outside your organization. The best way to get ahold of these investors is to find them on CrunchMatch and request a meeting with them through that platform.
Press List
Please find this year’s press list enclosed here. As with many things this year, our press list is a little different than the year’s past.
Given the virtual nature of the event, we expect many members of the press to register later in the process since there is no need for physical access to the venue or travel. We are also anticipating many just to tune in to TechCrunch given that event is also being live-streamed on the site. Given this, please feel free to check back in regularly for updates.
We suggest that you attend our Dos and Don’ts of Working with the Press session on August 12 to get expert tips on how to best leverage this list.
Disrupt Media Kit
Here’s where you can find a Disrupt graphic that you can customize with your company’s logo along with TechCrunch and Disrupt logos that you can use in other materials.
How to Update Your Registration Information
You are able to modify or transfer your ticket by clicking “manage registration details” at the bottom of your ticket confirmation email and you’ll be taken to a site that will allow you to make changes to your ticket.
Do You Need More Tickets To Disrupt?
