Get your Startup Battlefield application in now

Applications for the Startup Battlefield at Disrupt SF are now open. We’re looking for badass early-stage startups to debut on stage in front of top investors and a massive audience.

This competition is open to everyone, but we’d love to see more people of color, LGBTQ people, disabled people and older peeps battling it out for the Disrupt Cup. Since launching at Disrupt SF 2014, Partpic — led by a black woman named Jewel Burke —  has gone on to raise a $1.5 million seed roud and receive a $100,000 investment from AOL co-founder Steve Case. So, if you’re someone from a diverse background, we really want to hear from you, learn all about your startup and get you in front of investors.

Disrupt SF will take place September 12-14 at Pier 48. Startup Battlefield participants also receive free demo space in Startup Alley, tickets to VIP events, a Battlefield-only reception and, of course, TechCrunch swag. Prior to the event, startups work with TechCrunch editors to hone and polish their pitches.

All verticals are welcome, including (but not limited to) biotech, security, supercomputing, e-commerce, on-demand services, battery technology, mobile consumer, healthcare, bitcoin, hardware, AI, dev tools and VR.

Full details on eligibility can be found here. There are no fees to participate in the Startup Battlefield.

Building a great company encompasses much more than strong launch but, in our humble opinion, it doesn’t hurt to come out of the gate strong, too. Applications are now open through June 23rd at 9pm PT July 5th at 12pm PT. To apply, head on over to our Startup Battlefield page.
