For this project, Google partnered with a number of photographers, skiers, mountaineers, climbers and runners to build up this library of 360-degree imagery.
This means you get images of some of the most iconic trails around the mountain in the summer and winter, but you’ll also be able to see what the Mont Blanc looks like from the perspective of an ice climber, for example.
You will also be able to take a look at the Mer de Glace glacier. Google notes that as temperatures are rising, the glacier and other parts of the mountain are quickly changing. “This Street View imagery serves as a digital record of Mont Blanc as it appears today, so future outdoor enthusiasts and scientists can look back at this time capsule to see how the mountain has changed,” the company writes in today’s announcement.
