TechCrunch Is Hiring A Mobile Product Team

At TechCrunch, we cover the latest in mobile, and it’s time for us to devote the same intensity to creating new TechCrunch apps on mobile platforms. To accomplish that, we aim to build out a mobile app product dream team. TL;DR: We’re hiring!

For a lucky few, this is an opportunity to innovate for an incredible audience. Millions of users who care about product development just as much as you do will interact with your work on a daily basis. And this isn’t a place where boredom happens.

We’re a lean, close-knit group looking for people who get excited about wearing multiple hats, so we’re looking for a wide variety of skills in each role. Plus, the same team will also be developing new products for Engadget. We’re on the hunt for four star players to join our existing team: a mobile product manager, two developers, and a UI/UX designer.

  • Mobile Product Manager: You excel at both dreaming up ideas and making them realities. You’ll play a huge role in crafting both TechCrunch and Engadget’s mobile roadmaps, as well as lead the team to successful, timely launches. An obsession with emerging mobile trends and experience successfully shipping applications on both iOS and Android platforms are required.
  • Developers: We’re searching for two developers, one primarily focused on native iOS development and one on Android. You should have experience shipping media-rich applications to large user bases. We need team players, so you should also have some level of web development chops (experience with WordPress and JavaScript are major plusses) to help support our existing team when necessary.
  • UI/UX designer: If you love designing products that are both beautiful and intuitive, we’d love to have you. You’ll be able to put your fingerprints on all of our products, from our website across platforms, to our mobile apps.

For all roles, experience in media is a huge plus, and you must be willing and able to work from our San Francisco office. These are full-time positions with generous benefits. If you think you’d be a good fit, please drop me a note with your resumé or LinkedIn profile, a few work samples you’re proud of, and a quick summary of why you think you’d be a great addition to our team. We look forward to hearing from you.
