Storage Industry Vet Paula Long To Speak At Disrupt NY

Paula Long, CEO and co-founder at storage startup DataGravity has been around high tech for over 30 years and she has the distinction of launching multiple companies, including one that sold for over a billion dollars. Needless to say, we’re excited to have her speak at Disrupt NY.

She co-founded her latest venture, DataGravity in 2012 and has received $92M in funding so far including $50M in Series C last December. This company is bringing a new twist to flash storage arrays, building a storage appliance with an intelligent layer on top of the storage that enables IT to dig into the storage containers and surface information that typically was hidden in the past or required third party software to see.

In 2001, Long co-founded another storage company called EqualLogic, which was sold to Dell in 2008 for a whopping $1.4 billion. After leaving Dell in 2010, Long had a stint as vice president of product development at Heartland Robotics before she launched DataGravity.

This will be the first time that Long is speaking at Disrupt. She joins our growing speaker list of notable founders and venture capitalists and plenty more will be announced in the coming weeks.

Disrupt NY will place from May 4-6 at the Manhattan Center. General admission tickets are currently available at an early bird discount rate. Startups can also register to exhibit in Startup Alley.
