Venture capitalist Tim Draper is looking for entrepreneurs between the ages of 18-28 to be on his new Silicon Valley reality show. “You’re going to have a big opportunity. You might even become famous,” he says in the video announcing tryouts for the project.

Draper University and Ugly Brother Studios are producing the show that will follow selected Draper U students as they build and launch their startups in Silicon Valley.

Draper was shy about telling us where exactly the show would be broadcast when the time came, but he did mention it would be to a wide audience — “Let’s just say millions will see this show,” he said.

Ugly Brother Studios produces hit reality shows like Hard Core Pawn and MTV’s House of Food. It has placed reality shows on MTV, Spike, NBC, truTV and other networks.

According to Draper, Ugly Brother Studios hunted him down to make the show after seeing the unique programming offered to students. “Our students recite a creed every morning about never quitting,” Draper explained. “A lot of this program is to challenge [students] mentally, physically and emotionally to see if they are heroic.”

Draper U not only aims to guide the student entrepreneurs toward building a business, it incorporates both urban and wilderness survival skills during the course of the program. “We’re looking for heroes,” Draper noted.

Draper and a crew of casting agents will enlist 10 students as the main characters for the show. Each student will get a scholarship to Draper, along with living arrangements and a contractual agreement. Those interested must be available during Draper U’s spring session, running April 13-May 29, 2015.

When asked if he was looking for the same sort of controversial people often cast in reality TV, Tim replied, “Some entrepreneurs that are consumer facing would love this kind of exposure. If they are characters, so much the better.”

Casting for the show should be done by mid-January. Those who would like to be considered can email the following to bigideacasting at gmail dot com
