Adora Cheung, co-founder and CEO of home-cleaning startup Homejoy, will be joining us onstage at Disrupt Europe.
The company makes it easy to schedule home cleanings online and at a relatively affordable price. In the two years since I first wrote about the service (originally called Pathjoy), Homejoy has raised a big pile of money, expanded across the US and overseas, and just last month launched its first iPhone app. It’s also experimenting with home services beyond cleaning.
While Homejoy has been expanding, we’ve also seen the emergence of a whole crowd of convenience-focused startups. In home cleaning specifically, both Homejoy and Handy (formerly Handybook) have bought up competitors, and Handy recently launched in the U.K., as well.
That gives us a lot to talk about when Cheung joins us in London, where I plan to ask her about starting the company with her brother Aaron (that’s the two of them in the photo above), Homejoy’s rapid growth and about what lies ahead.
Disrupt Europe will be held on Oct 21 and 22 in London. Tickets are still on sale. If you’re interested in sponsorship opportunities, email us here.
