Appsee Bags Further $2M To Let Mobile App Developers Measure User Behaviour

Israeli startup Appsee, the mobile analytics service that offers an array of tools for measuring user behaviour within an app, has topped up its funding by closing a modest $2 million series A round. Backing comes from existing investors Giza VC, and Moshe Lichtman, as well as new investor Flint Capital, and follows a $1 million seed round last October.

Touch Heatmaps V2Originally focusing on enabling app developers to record user sessions so they can see where users tap and swipe and, ultimately, figure out places where the user experience falls down, Appsee has since expanded to offer a full user behaviour mobile analytics service. This combines several features, including touch recording that tracks all touch gestures in each of an app’s screens and aggregates them into easily digestible heat maps, conversion funnels, and crash recordings that detect and record crash sessions automatically as well as provide crash logs.

The goal of Appsee, of course, isn’t just to help developers improve the user experience based on the insights its analytics service can provide, but, in turn, to enable them to increase user engagement, retention and those potentially lucrative in-app purchases.

To integrate Appsee analytics and user tracking into your app, the startup currently provides an SDK for iOS, with an Android version forthcoming, thanks to today’s new funding. The additional capital will also be used to develop further iOS features, as well as invest further in R&D.
