While the Slingapp is casting live TV, the screen on the mobile device controls playback like a traditional remote control. Likewise, when connected to a Chromecast device, the Twitch mobile app serves up a chat functionality and allows the user to scan for another stream to watch or control playback of the current video content.
Chromecast with the Slingplayer app work with the iPhone, iPad and Android, with Android tablet support coming very soon. The Twitch app works with the iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets.
