Pulsar Launches New Social Analytics Tools After Raising $2.3M

UK-based Pulsar, a social data analytics platform, today launched two new products, Pulsar FLOW and Pulsar TEAM. Pulsar FLOW is aimed at brands making the most of social channels. Pulsar TEAM, meanwhile, delivers social enterprise analytics by tracking and managing activity on companies’ internal collaboration platforms, such as Yammer.

Pulsar, which has so far raised a $2.3 million investment round from the Face agency — a subsidiary of the UK-based, publicly-listed Cello Group — has recently emerged as a smaller, but interesting, new competitor to others in the field, including Radian6, Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon, Sysomos and Synthesio. Brandwatch recently raised $22 million to boost its social media monitoring platform, so this space clearly remains as hot as ever.

So far Pulsar has managed to gain clients, such as Twitter and Tumblr, as well as NBC Universal, Tesco, Unilever, Allianz, Reckitt Benckiser, Burson-Marsteller, dunnhumby, Live Nation and Mindshare.
