LoopMe Closes $3M From Holtzbrinck, Open Ocean For Its Mobile Ad In-Box

So, we know developers and publishers make money from apps and other mobile content often via advertising. But smartphone screens are small, so ads have to be small. And ad formats vary widely. LoopMe solves this problem by creating an “ad inbox” that users access through a small button, instead of having to display the ad over the content of the app. Users – and now investors – appear to like this idea.

Following a Seed round, today LoopMe, has closed a $3 million funding round from Holtzbrinck Ventures, Open Ocean Capital and former Playfish founder Kristian Segerstrale

The funding will be used to support LoopMe’s vision of social advertising revolutionising mobile and games advertising.

LoopMe lets consumers to manage the advertising enabling sharing and adding social endorsement and feedback (yes, people actually share ads) and uses big data to work out which pieces of content are best for which users at which point in time.
