Apply Now To Write For TechCrunch This Summer As A Paid Intern

Are you obsessed with the startup world? Do you read TechCrunch all the time? Good news! We’re hiring paid interns for this summer.

What will you do? Blog, blog, blog away. We’re looking for independent, driven reporters who will kick ass and chase after big startup stories: Interns who will work on everything from short blog posts to long form, investigative stories to video pieces.

I vividly remember how nervous I was on my first day as an intern in June 2012. I sat in the San Francisco office and scrolled through dozens of emails to the tips line, searching for something interesting to cover. Eric Eldon, then the co-editor, walked me up the street to the Creamery for coffee and a speedy orientation.

By the end of the day, I hit “publish” on a piece covering a startup’s latest funding round. The next day, I wrote another story. And another the following day. That weekend, I opined on the future of impermanent messaging. I was hooked on TC and mentored by an amazing team of writers and editors.

A year and over a hundred posts later, I was sitting in a tiny room backstage at our Disrupt NY conference interviewing intern candidates to join us and cover the crazy tech world.

While the main focus of our coverage is on tech-centric startups, the explosion of technology into other industries and its ramifications on policy have opened TechCrunch to broader areas of coverage. Writers at TC cover everything from politics to fashion to sports.
