Checkmarx, an Israeli provider of static application security testing solutions, this morning announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount of financing in a round led by earlier backer Ofer Hi-Tech, with participation from cloud computing company Salesforce.com.
The additional capital will be used to promote Checkmarx’s cloud-based source code scanning service CxCloud and ramp up sales and marketing efforts.
Checkmarx’ solutions basically enable software developers to track, throughout the applications’ lifecycle, whether their code is following internal or external compliance requirements or is in accordance with the developing and hosting platform guidelines.
Today, Checkmarx supports programming languages and frameworks such as C#, Java, C/C++, VB6 and PHP, as well as platform languages and frameworks such as Salesforce.com’s Apex and VisualForce.
