CSC Acquires Software Testing Company AppLabs

Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) this morning announced that it has acquired India’s AppLabs, a provider of software testing and quality management services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is meant to grow CSC’s applications development and management business as well as extending software testing and quality management services to its clients.

All 2,500 employees of AppLabs will be joining the U.S.-based IT firm.

The company was founded in 2001 by Sashi Reddi and funded with investments from WestBridge Ventures and Sequoia Capital. Clients include American Airlines, Experian and JP Morgan.

AppLabs is headquartered in Hyderabad, India, and has offices in the United States and United Kingdom.
