6Wunderkinder scores further round of funding

Six months after the Berlin-based startup 6Wunderkinder raised €500,000 from High-Tech Gründerfonds, the company just announced another round of funding from T-Venture, the venture arm of Deutsche Telekom.

After its founding 10 months ago they’ve developed a beautiful and handy task manager called “Wunderlist”, which has been downloaded more than 1.7 million times according to a recent press release.

The startup is currently building a larger team of designers and developers in order to ship their long awaited product suite “Wunderkit“, which aims to be a one-stop-shop for projects and work.

Since the hugely popular Basecamp has become the market leader for such applications, there are several startups that are trying to re-invent the way we work and offer tools to facilitate co-working. For example, Copenhagen-based Podio is fast at building a large customer base for its web-based work application.

In contrast, 6Wunderkinder is focusing on desktop apps that are, at least for now, free of charge and strongly reminiscent of native Apple applications.

Financial terms of the funding have not been disclosed.
