1.2GHz Droid 2 Global appears on Moto's website

Hey hey, the very first >1GHz phone — the Droid 2 Global — has now been unofficially confirmed by an official source, Motorola’s own website (now pulled).

Droid Life managed to nab some screen shots before Moto pulled the page, which confirm that it will — as rumoured earlier — run at 1.2GHz.

Other pieces of tasty goodness include Android 2.2, slide-out keyboard, a 5MP camera with dual-LED flash, DLNA, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 8GB on-board, 8GB in-box.

You may have noticed that the specs page mentions a 3.1″ screen. Ignore that: it’s 3.7″.

The Droid 2 Global will replace the Droid 2 when it launches… whenever that may be.

You can check the full spec page, as well as a teeny-tiny image of the phone itself, in the gallery below.
