On July 13 France launched France.fr, a multilingual tourism information website. The site went down almost immediately. It’s now been eight days and the site remains down. The first error message said the site was a victim of its own success, but that message was updated to a more mundane “problem configuring our servers.” That same message is now translated into four other languages.
I’ve got nothing left to say about this, and probably wouldn’t have even posted this update if @cateland hadn’t posted the image above. If we haven’t posted, assume the site is still down. We’ll update when and if they get it live again. Until then, consider yourself continually mocked, France.
