Video: LittleBigPlanet 2 debut trailer

Here’s my advice: watch the following trailer then close your Web browser because the Internet won’t get any better today. It’s the debut trailer for LittleBigPlanet 2 for the PS3.

There’s a fair amount of info on the game’s Web site, which is in striking contrast to the way things usually go: publisher releases teaser video, then says “stay tuned~!” for an additional six months.

Probably the best news (aside from the actual announcement, of course): all of the user-created levels from the first game will work with the sequel. Again, that’s the exact opposite of how things are usually done. Let’s pretend Activision published the game. You’d have to not only re-buy all the levels, but they’d tack on some nonsense “conversion” fee, like you’re trading credit default swaps.

Should be in time for the holidays later this year.
