Apple's latest patent: Macbooks with built-in projector

Apple recently filed patent for a pico projector to be integrated into their notebooks. Like the sun-lit display we wrote about a few days ago, it’s probably too early to expect much. Nonetheless, this is an interesting idea and I can see it being useful for projecting presentations or pictures when you don’t have access to an external projector.

From the patent, it seems like the projector could be placed either in the back of the notebook or one the side. Either way, it would enable you to make your boring business presentation even less exciting by reading every word of your PowerPoint slide. The filing also includes some sensors that would be used to detect the position of the surface so that the image can be adjusted accordingly. While I would like to see this on a Macbook soon, I’m certainly not getting my hopes up.
