Apparently, 2009 is the year of the Periodic Table, at least in terms of mobile device names. First, we caught wind of HTC’s upcoming Rhodium, and now comes word that AT&T will be offering the LG Neon.
Originally known as the LG KS360 (or at least it appears to be identical), the newly coined Neon features a 2.4″ touch screen (for on-screen dialing purposes only), a full side-sliding QWERTY key pad, quad-band GSM, Bluetooth, MP3 player, Instant Messaging, 2MP camera, and a high capacity microSD slot.
No word on whether this text-centric middle-to-lower tier mobile will land with 3G or any other upgrades, when it will drop, or pricing info.
