Hewlett Packard announced their iPrint Photo applicaiton for the iPhone and iPod Touch, “the first application available on the Apple App store to print photos directly from an iPhone or iPod”. It’s a free download from the app store, so what are you waiting for?
HP iPrint Photo is a free downloadable software application that allows you to quickly and easily print 4″ x 6″ photos. Images stored on your iPhone or iPod touch can print on most HP networked ink jet printers connected to a local WiFi network. Wireless printing is a fun extension of the iPhone / iPod touch’s easy photo capture and viewing experience.
It defaults to 4″ x 6″ borderless photos (or 10 x 15 cm if you’re not in the US). Depending on the printer it’ll either use the photo paper tray or the default paper tray, so make sure you’ve loaded up the correct photo paper stock before printing.
Installation was super easy, as you’d expect from an app store download, but I’m not near my home wireless printer as I type this, so I can’t confirm how well it actually prints. I imagine this app plus Camera Bag would make for some fun prints!
