Stephan Uhrenbacher, Qype
Stephan Uhrenbacher is the founder and the executive director of Qype. On Germany’s largest assessment portal for local news, its users exchange tips and recommendations about stores, service providers, gastronomy and free time activities all over Europe. In the late 90s Stephan Uhrenbacher established the travel portal TravelChannel for Gruner+Jahr. In subsequence followed the supervision of the Northern European market for Lastminute.com in London and he created the reorientation of Bild.de for Axel Springer. At the despatch pharmacy DocMorris he was responsible as its COO for the growth of the corporation in 2003.

Simon Murdoch – Investor / Angel / Entrepreneur
Dr Simon Murdoch is co-founder and partner of Episode 1 Partners Ltd, an early stage technology investment company and a ‘business angel’ having invested in and advised companies such as Betfair and LoveFilm. Simon was VP Europe of Amazon.com He oversaw huge growth following the founding of his own Internet bookselling company, Bookpages, in late 1996. This was acquired by Amazon.com in April 1998, who used the company as a vehicle to launch as Amazon.co.uk in October 1998. Ultra-high growth was experience from 1999 onwards.

Angel is an entrepreneur and former Global VP, Music & Content at Bebo where she was responsible for Bebo’s global music strategy, product and partnerships. Gambino joined from her previous position as VP, Commercial, Strategy & Digital Media for Viacom UK, Ireland & Nordic where she was responsible for MTVN’s business strategy & development across the 11- channel portfolio of MTV, VH1, VH2, TMF, Nickelodeon and Paramount Comedy brands, with particular focus on growing MTVN’s P&L through digital media. Ben has 21 years’ experience advising and investing in privately-owned and venture capital-backed business in Europe and North America. Ben spent the first 18 years of his career in corporate finance, advising on over 75 transactions and specializing in the software and digital media sectors. Ben worked in London and New York before joining Broadview International (now Jefferies Broadview) in 1993. At Broadview, Ben was a Managing Director in the European office, was Co-head of the software, services and media global market group and led the development of the global digital media group. He has advised on transactions involving Yahoo!, IAC, Vivendi, News Corp, Microsoft, Openwave, Lagardere, British Telecom, Cendant, E*trade and Experian. Danny Rimmer
Danny Rimer joined Index Ventures in 2002 and established the firm’s London office. His investment interests include Internet infrastructure software and services.
He currently serves on a number of boards including AstleyClarke, FON, Joost, Maggies Cancer Caring, Oanda, Sky (BSY), Spot Runner, Stardoll, Trialpay, Viagogo and Woome. He previously was a director of KVS (Symantec), Last.fm (CBS), Lovefilm, MySQL (Sun), Neoteris (Juniper) and Skype (eBay).
Prior to joining Index, Danny was a general partner of The Barksdale Group, where he invested in a dozen companies including CrossGain (BEA), Ofoto (Kodak) and TellMe (Microsoft). Prior to joining The Barksdale Group, Danny was Managing Director in Hambrecht & Quist’s (JP Morgan) Equity Research Group and was responsible for the firm’s Internet practice. At H&Q, Danny was the underwriting analyst for companies including Amazon, Netscape, and Verisign. He also sponsored direct investments in over 20 companies.

Setting up a company, presently in stealth mode…continue to work with growth and financing of technology start-ups having closed a £3m deal and working on a roll-up of a Finnish and US/UK company. Worked as advisor for Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures…and prior to this was with a mobile start-up that was acquired by First Data..where I built and headed up the EMEA Prepaid Products group. Was with Siemens Venture Capital, evalgelised and helped set them up in India…while there advised SAP Ventures on setting up in India..and a long time ago in 1999 was responsible in setting up one of the first India-US funds which was the Asian arm of Insight Venture Partners with Microsoft, MSD Capital (Dell’s PE arm) as investors. Joined the fund when it was still an idea.

Sean Seton-Rogers, Balderton
Prior to joining Balderton Capital, Sean spent four years with Commonwealth Capital Ventures, an early-stage technology venture capital firm based in Boston. While at Commonwealth, Sean drove pilot investments in EDA software, Internet infrastructure, and enterprise software. Sean’s experience also includes time at BEA Systems, a leading application infrastructure software company, where he focused on strategic sales into large, multinational corporations. Before that, Sean worked as a consultant in London for Bain & Company.
