Nokia is planning on entering the growing market for connecting laptops to wireless networks, competing against Huawei Technologies, the current market leader. Nokia will begin shipping its first Internet stick early next year with the price yet to be disclosed. Nokia denied that the units would be branded “Donkles.”
The global market for dongles is expected to grow by 30 percent to 26 million units next year. Smart move by Nokia, hoping to profit from expanding the market for their 3G technologies.
