Victor makes last VHS player

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final rewind.
My friend, I’ll say it clear,
I’ll state my case, so please do be kind.

I’ve lived a life that’s full.
I’ve played copies of Lynch’s Lost Highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, I did beat Sony .
And your sister watched on me
Her bootleg copy of My Little Pony

I thrilled at each new release;
Each new rental at at Seven Eleven,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
A tape would break and I’d spit it out.
I sat on the shelf and kept blinking twelve;
And did it my way.

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried.
I’ve had my fill of floating head cleaners.
And now, as tears subside,
I find I’m lost to DVDs and DivX screeners.

To think I did all that;
And may I say – not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To play the things he truly feels;
The tapes of grandma and kids on Big Wheels
The record shows I took the blows –
And did it my way!
