Energizer understands the plight of gamers, announces Power & Play charging system

Gamers are well aware that having to change batteries during a frag fest is aggravating. So aggravating that you may throw things unintentionally breaking your roommates prized collection of snow globes or something like that. But enough about me.

Energizer announced rechargeable systems for all three major consoles today that include a charging base, replacement battery covers and rechargeable batteries. The Nintendo Wii package will retail for $40. Additional batteries and covers retail for $11. It’s unclear from the press release how many batteries/covers come in the package, but I’d bet that it’s two.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 include a charging cradle and A/C powercord for $30. Extra charging cables for the Xbox 360 and PS3 will retail for $13 and $10, respectively.
