Microsoft gets mad at Taiwanese mousemaker, sues

Usually in a situation like this, Microsoft would just buy the offending company and absorb their essence into its being. Apparently that’s no so easy when the company is all Taiwanese and stuff — they’ve resorted to suing the poor deluded fools, who have apparently resisted multiple approaches to work this thing out peacefully.

Since they’re infringing on a couple of pretty clearly Microsoft-owned patents (U2 connection for PS/2 and USB, and the tilt wheel) I don’t think they have a leg to stand on in this little showdown. That said, they’ll probably come to a forced licensing deal and Primax will enjoy a day of rogue sunshine and sales will skyrocket — not unlike the pirate carts for the DS lately.
