Downloadable applications will be available for the iPod Touch (and presumably the iPhone) on June 27th, according to a graphic on Apple’s Australian iPod Touch site.
Curiously, the same graphic is absent from Apple’s US site.
As noted in Jobsie’s keynote on Monday, the Apple 2.0 software will be a free update for iPhone owners, but iPod Touch owners like me will get gouged (again), having to pay $9.95 for the privilege of using the new software on our devices. New software that allows Touch owners to pay for new software from the App Store (some apps are free, though). Thanks a pantload, Steve.
Thanks for the tip, Katie!
