A solar-powered Bluethooth wireless headset by Iqua will be showcased at next week’s Consumers Electronics Show (CES). The Iqua SUN (BHS-603) was launched last year in Europe and is due to hit U.S. stores and online retail sites in January.
The device measures less than two inches and weighs under an ounce. It incorporates a photovoltaic cell that uses any available light – outdoors and indoors – to extend the talk and 
standby times of the headset. The Iqua SUN delivers up to 12 hours of talk time depending on available light conditions and standby time can be infinite, based on available light.
“The Iqua SUN is the first of its kind, and the response, around the globe has been very positive, both in terms of environmental innovation and solid performance,” said Iqua’s CEO, Juha Reima. “Unfortunately, we’ve only been able to supply the European market until now. We’ve recently added capacity in order to meet the strong demand in Europe and support the introduction of the product in other markets including North America.”
