OMGOMG let’s unbox some stuff~! I couldn’t get any pics of the Halo 3 edition Xbox 360 yesterday because of server issues, but Gearlive has gone to great lengths to unbox it for us, god-of-your-choosing bless their soul. My usual dismissive attitude aside, it looks pretty cool. Not cool enough for me to shell out an additional $400 (my plain jane 360 does the trick), but certainly if you haven’t made the 360 plunge yet. Aside from the regular pack-ins, this special edition gets you Halo 3 Xbox Live gamer pics and a theme. Neat-o.
You should be able to walk into your local electronics store to pick one of these up right now if you wanted to. Just don’t try to get it from Amazon if you want it anytime soon, as a reader pointed out that Amazon won’t be shipping his order until September 26. Tisk-tisk, Amazon.
