BH100, Super Blu

LG is playing coy when it comes to the format wars when they damn well know that ________ will win. Pick a side, LG. The Super Blu Player that was showcased at CES is sweet, but a $1,200 player with an identity crisis is way, way too much. So this morning LG has announced the BH200 Super Blu with a few minor upgrades. This time around you’ll be privy to BD-Java and HDi technology, which means you’ll be editing your own version of 300 in no time and hearing useless commentary. HD DVD network connectivity is expected in case you were wondering. Formats supported will include MPEG-2, VC-1, H.264 vid, MPEG 1/2 audio, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS and DTS-HD audio. And yes, HDMI v1.3 will be present. The new Super Blu is expected in stores mid-October with a retail price of around $1,000.
