Canon Adds Two More To A-series

Are we done yet? No. Crap. Nothing new in the feature department for the two A-series PowerShots that we haven’t already heard about today. The A650 IS is a quirky 12.1-megapixel camera with 6x optical zoom lens, 21 shooting modes, and vari-angle 2.5-inch LCD. Huh? We’ll get to that in a second. The A720 boasts 8-megapixel resolution and shoots VGA video.

The PowerShot A650 IS and the PowerShot A720 IS are scheduled for a September launch and priced at $399.99 and $249.99, respectively. The A650 IS camera kit includes four AA batteries, 32MB SD memory card, USB interface cable, AV cable, wrist strap and Canon’s software suite. The A720 IS camera kit includes two AA batteries, 16MB SD memory card, USB interface cable, AV cable, wrist strap and Canon’s software suite.
