Mobile Linux Group Expects Success in '08

linux.jpgWe’ve been following the happenings of the Mobile Linux Group closely, and it might not be long before we see some results. The six founding members of the LiMo Foundation, which includes Motorola, NEC, NTT, Docomo, Panasonic Mobile, Samsung Electronics and Vodafone have conducted a recruiting drive that would put most college fraternities to shame. They’re brought over Aplix, Celunite, LG Electronics, McAfee and Wind River to their core members.

Now we’re hearing that the LiMo Foundation, which was only established this past January, is pushing forward with an initiative to develop the first globally available Linux-based handset platform based industry-developed standard platform.
