Last Friday Groove Mobile, a mobile music service provider announced an alliance with communications company MTS Allstream Inc., to bring mobile music to the more then 300,000 customers on the digital network. This is the sixth carrier partner for Groove Mobile.
“As part of our commitment to growing the mobile music market globally, we are happy to expand our presence in Canada with this alliance,” said Adam Sexton, Chief Marketing Officer, Groove Mobile. “MTS Allstream’s advanced digital network and Groove Mobile’s innovative music discovery features are a perfect fit for music fans who demand a quality music experience direct to their mobile phone.”
The MTS Mobile Music Store will be powered by Groove to provide full-track music downloads direct to the handset, as well as access to other content including music charts and album art, as well as offering the ability to shop and play, browse and preview music. The music service will support dual downloading that will allow customers to purchase music over the air and download a copy of the track to their phones, while also getting a copy delivered directly to a PC. Customers can further play the tracks on their computer, or transfer the songs to an MP3 player or burn to a CD.
