This is the one and only time I wish I had a PS3. John Woo’s Stranglehold game will have a nice surprise for those willing to dish out $69.95. But before I go into details please allow me, dear readers, to bestow my love of Hong Kong movies upon thee.

I’m a big fan of John Woo and I’m not talking about the crap he’s done in the States. Don’t get me wrong, Face Off was decent, but you don’t know what you’re missing if you haven’t seen one of his Hong Kong movies. My personal favorite is Hard Boiled because it was my first exposure to Hong Kong action movies, which is why I wish I had a PS3. A 1080p version of the film will be piggybacked with Stranglehold. You do not want to miss this. Trust me.

The article doesn’t explicitly say whether or not the movie can only be played in PS3s. However, I’m assuming it can’t be played in other Blu-ray players because the North American rights owner of Hard Boiled is the Weinstein Company, and it’s an HD DVD backer. But if you have a PS3 you’re golden either way, so get the game and enjoy the best gun-play movie ever made. Check out The Killer too.
