This has to be the funniest thing I have ever read. I know the X button is the equipment button, but this is too funny. According to the Game Rag, the X button will ‘deploy racist or homophobic comments regarding teammates or opponents.’ Racism isn’t funny, but this is down right hilarious.
Bungie co-founder Jason Jones had this to say about it:
“We were looking for ways to streamline the experience for our jerk demographic. In Halo 2, gamers were losing their voices from yelling immature taunts against other players, who themselves may or may not be homosexual African Americans. Naturally, we decided to assign this feature its very own button.”
And don’t worry, Bungie went to great lengths to ensure every race and creed is included so no one is left out of the verbal assault.
“Our research has been amazing. Did you know that the proper slur for a Pacific Islander who is sexually attracted to bears is ‘jamoli,’” said Jones. “Rest assured, whether you are a bisexual pigmy or even a straight white American male, we have you covered, honky.”
