NAB 2007: Toshiba's 56-inch Almost 4K Monitor

The Red One is fantastic for its ability to shoot natively in 4k mode. But what good is that if you can’t play it back? Toshiba was showing off a 56″ display it was calling 4k, even though it technically falls short. At 3840×2160, the P56QHD isn’t quite the 4,200+ pixels true 4k demands, but man it shows a pretty picture. That’s more than 3x the 1080p of the TV you’re saving for, punk. The 1200:1 contrast ratio isn’t tops, but it’s better than some. What’s great is the massive amounts of inputs the monitor gives you, four DVI jacks. Nice.
