Canon's Beastly DSLR – The EOS-1D Mark III

In addition to those two digital ELPH cameras that were announced earlier, Canon has also announced the EOS-1D Mark III, a professional DSLR that uses Canon’s new DIGIC III image processing. Since you already heard about DIGIC III and all that jazz, I’ll break this one down to the meat and bones for you. The EOS Mark III has a 3-inch LCD with LiveView technology, a possible ISO range of 10 to 6400, that crazy EOS cleaning system where the camera vibrates for a few seconds to shake dust off the lens, USB 2.0, a high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, and wireless file transfer. Nuts!

Canon has also released a flash and lens to go with the EOS Mark III, the EF-16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens and the Speedlite 580EX II Flash. No official release date has been set but if you’re in the market for a high-end DSLR, I’d wait until this puppy comes out.
