It failed as a FOX TV series, running only 11 episodes. And it did modest business at the box office ($25 million) when a feature-film continuation of the series called “Serenity” hit theaters last year. But now “FireFly” is back for a third go-round, headed to your computer as a multi-player online game.
The little-franchise-that-could was licensed by 20th Century Fox TV to game technology developer Multiverse, which will in turn, hire a developer to build the actual game. The finished product is expected to launch sometime in 2008.
