Acer Gets Viiv Certified LCD

Acer has announced the AT3705, a 37-inch HD-ready LCD that has claimed of the title of the world’s first Intel Viiv certified monitor. The display is able to “test for compatibility of networked media devices with Intel Viiv technology-based PCs while sharing content over a home network.” In addition to that noise, it can also playback recorded digital TV and it has support for Digital Transmission Content Protection over IP (DTCP-IP).

No word on pricing or availability, but with Viiv stuff dropping everywhere, I’d expect it to be available soon.
