Nokia 6290 And 6086 Announced

Some really nice looking Nokia phones were just announced and they are packed to the brim with features…or at least one is. The Nokia 6290 3G Smartphone (pictured) will be dropping in early 2007 for $427 and will feature a 2.2” QVGA display with 16 million colors, a 2MP camera with 4x zoom, e-mail client with attachment viewer for PDF, Excel, and Word documents, an MP3 player, and 2-way video calling. Battery life will be 10 days of standby time and 3.5 hours of talk time. On top of all those fresh features, the phone will be running Symbian S60 3rd edition.

The other phone Nokia has announced is the 6086. With UMA and quad-band GSM, this thing will work anywhere you jet set for sure. Though a little plain looking, the phone still has some decent features like 10 days of standby time and 5 hours of talk time, a microSD card slot, a VGA camera (gross), and Bluetooth connectivity. What makes this phone somewhat worth purchasing is that it can switch between WLAN and GSM networks seamlessly. The 6086 is also due out in early 2007 and is considerably cheaper at $263.
