The Zune Ads Microsoft Never Wanted You To See

Ahh yes. A few days after the Zune launches and already everyone is parodying everything from the installation screens to that stupid “Welcome to the Social” slogan. Our favorite hands down has to be the gigantic orgy one you see above you that we found on deepsignal’s flickr account. But wait, that’s not all. We also found some new campaign ads originally intended for college students and teenagers that Microsoft dropped altogether on this dude’s flickr page. Zune, you have a long way to go before you become one of the bros holmes. Microsoft is doing something right though – CrunchGear editor Blake Robinson couldn’t find a Zune in NYC! But he’s from New Orleans and cries when the R-train stops running in Manhattan, so he probably didn’t try hard enough. Keep looking buddy.

[UPDATE, from Matt Hickey] In the interest of full disclosure, we should note the the individuals you see in this photograph are actually members of my street gang, the Yahtzee Posse. Vince finding this image, and its growing popularity, coupled with my writing for this blog is all just a big coincidence. In fact, I didn’t recognize them until someone pointed it out. They’re also members of my bowling team. Really. Hello from Seattle, indeed. They all live here sometimes.
